Tsuki’s Journey is an enjoyable and quirky relaxed journey game that plunges you into Tsuki's world, an adorable rabbit who has relocated to the Mushroom Village. Interestingly, Tsuki is an independent spirit, not a pet, and will explore and engage with the environment at their own pace. Hence, you can enter the game whenever and find Tsuki engaged in something interesting.
There are no predetermined aims or tasks in Tsuki’s Journey, as the primary emphasis is on the laid-back ambiance and establishing connections with the inhabitants of Mushroom Village. However, you can partake in specific activities, such as planting crops or fishing. Fishing is a great method to acquire plenty of carrots – the game’s primary currency. Keep reading to discover all about the intricacies of fishing in Tsuki’s Journey.
How To Get A Fishing Rod
Before you can begin fishing in Tsuki’s Journey, you’ll require the appropriate fishing gear. A fishing rod can be bought from Pipi at Yori’s General Store for 7,500 carrots.
To locate this shop, open your in-game smartphone and tap on the location pin icon to access the map. Yori’s Store is situated on the left side of your Tree House.
The fishing rod is 40 percent more effective than the basic fishing stick and considerably decreases the time between each catch.
How To Fish
Once you possess a fishing rod, make your way to any fishing spot in Mushroom Village to catch fish. Currently, there are three fishing spots in the game:
- The Pier at Mermaid Coast, near the Stone Temple.
- The river next to Dawn's Workshop – Unlocks on Day 3
- The pond by Rosemary's Shop – Unlocks on Day 6
Upon reaching the pier, you'll notice a blue button just above the river. Tap on this blue button to begin fishing.
When a fish is hooked, you'll hear a splashing water sound and observe Tsuki pulling the rod. Once you hear the sound, tap anywhere on your screen to reel in the fish. The caught fish will be showcased on the screen and stored in your inventory.
To view all the fish you've captured, access the inventory and filter to 'fish only' by tapping on the Items and then Fish.
Over-fishing
Interestingly, excessive fishing can occur in Tsuki’s Journey. After capturing 10 to 20 fish, you’ll observe a notable decline in the frequency of successful catches at that specific spot. To address this, merely relocate to another fishing spot and test your fortune there.
Following 2 hours and 6 minutes from the initial catch, the original fishing location will be replenished with fish, allowing you to catch them at the usual rate once more. This mechanism deters players from lingering in one spot and prompts them to explore other fishing locations in Mushroom Village.
How To Sell Fish
Presently, the sole purpose of fish in Tsuki’s Journey is to exchange them for carrots. You can tap on a fish in the inventory to ascertain its name and selling price.
The scarcer the fish, the higher its selling value. For example, a rare Spotted Ray can fetch 120 carrots, while a common Squid fetches only 20 carrots.
There are two methods to sell fish in Tsuki’s Journey.
Yori’s General Store
Vending fish at Yori’s General Store will merely yield half of the carrots stated in the fish’s details. Thus, if the Spotted Ray carries a price tag of 120 carrots, you might only receive 50 percent of the initial value.
Below are step-by-step guidelines on how to vend fish at Yori’s General Store.
- Select Yori (accessible from 8 am to 8 pm) or Elfie (accessible from 8 pm to 8 am).
- Click on the red button with the box symbol.
- Pick the fish type and quantity you wish to sell.
- Press the green checkmark.
- Validate your sale by conversing with Yori or Elfie.
The Bounty Board
Alternatively, you can trade your fish via the Bounty Board at the Town Hall. It offers more carrots than stated in the fish’s details. For instance, a Spotted Ray carries a base price of 120 carrots, but a bounty price of 600 carrots.
Here are step-by-step directions on how to vend fish at the Bounty Board.
- Tap on the bounty board. It unlocks on the day when it makes headlines in the newspaper.
- The bounty board exhibits the fish available for sale. If you possess the specific fish in your inventory, it will be displayed in full color.
- Simply tap on the fish you wish to vend. A red stamp will appear on the selected fish, indicating your acceptance of the offer.
Upon selling the fish, it will be deducted from your inventory, and you will receive the carrots as per the deal.
