Tsuki’s Odyssey is a fun and quirky passive adventure game that immerses you in the world of Tsuki, an adorable bunny who has moved to the Mushroom Village. Interestingly, Tsuki is a free spirit, not a pet, and will explore and interact with the world at their own pace. As such, you can load into the game anytime and catch Tsuki doing something exciting.

If you're looking for a low-effort game to play in the background on your mobile phone, here are the best to try.
There are no set goals or objectives in Tsuki’s Odyssey, as the main focus is on the laid-back atmosphere and building connections with the people of Mushroom Village. However, you can participate in certain activities, like planting crops or fishing. Fishing is an excellent way to get lots of carrots – the game’s main currency. Read on to learn all about the ins and outs of fishing in Tsuki’s Odyssey.
How To Get A Fishing Rod
Before you can start fishing in Tsuki’s Odyssey, you’ll need the right fishing equipment. A fishing rod can be purchased from Pipi at Yori’s General Store for 7,500 carrots.
To find this store, open your in-game smartphone and tap on the location pin icon to open the map. Yori’s Store is located on the left side of your Tree House.
The fishing rod is 40 percent more efficient than the basic fishing stick and significantly reduces the duration between each catch.
How To Fish
Once you have a fishing rod, head to any fishing spot in Mushroom Village to reel in fish. There are currently three fishing spots in the game:
- The Pier at Mermaid Coast, near the Stone Temple.
- The river next to Dawn's Workshop – Unlocks on Day 3
- The pond by Rosemary's Shop – Unlocks on Day 6
When you reach the pier, you will see a blue button just above the river. Tap on this blue button to start fishing.
When a fish is caught, you can hear a splashy water sound and see Tsuki pulling the rod. As soon as you hear the sound, tap anywhere on your screen to reel in the fish. The fish you’ve caught will be displayed on the screen and stored in your inventory.
To see all the fish you’ve caught, tap on the inventory and filter to ‘fish only’ by tapping on the Items and then Fish.
Over-fishing
Surprisingly, over-fishing can also happen in Tsuki’s Odyssey. After catching 10 to 20 fish, you’ll notice a significant decrease in how often you can catch fish at that particular spot. To remedy this, simply move to a different fishing spot and try your luck there.
After 2 hours and 6 minutes of the first catch, the original fishing spot will be restocked with fish, and you can catch them at the normal rate again. This mechanic prevents players from staying in one spot and encourages them to explore other fishing spots in Mushroom Village.
How To Sell Fish
Currently, the only use of fish in Tsuki’s Odyssey is to sell them for carrots. You can tap on a fish in the inventory to know its name and sale price.
The rarer the fish is, the more carrots it sells for. For instance, a rare Spotted Ray can be sold for 120 carrots whereas a common Squid sells only for 20 carrots.
There are two ways to sell fish in Tsuki’s Odyssey.
Yori’s General Store
Selling fish at Yori’s General Store will only yield half of the carrots mentioned in the fish’s description. This means that if the Spotted Ray has a sale price of 120 carrots, you might get only 50 percent of the original price.
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to sell fish at Yori’s General Store.
- Tap on Yori (available from 8 am to 8 pm) or Elfie (available from 8 pm to 8 am).
- Click on the red button with the box icon.
- Choose the type and number of fish you want to sell.
- Tap on the green checkmark.
- Confirm your sale by talking to Yori or Elfie.
The Bounty Board
Alternatively, you can sell your fish through the Bounty Board at the Town Hall. It offers more carrots than mentioned in the fish’s description. For example, a Spotted Ray has a base price of 120 carrots, but a bounty price of 600 carrots.
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to sell fish at the Bounty Board.
- Tap on the bounty board. It is unlocked on the day when it makes headlines in the newspaper.
- The bounty board displays the fish you can sell. If you have the particular fish in your inventory, it will be shown in full color.
- Simply tap on the fish you want to sell. A red stamp will be displayed on the fish you've selected, indicating that you’ve accepted the offer.
Once the fish is sold, it will be removed from your inventory, and you will receive the carrots accordingly.
